Computer Lab

The computer lab is located on the 1st floor of Georgenstraße 47 (accessible by elevator), room 1.14.

 

Opening hours:
  • During the semester: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Please contact us ahead in case you wish to work at the computer lab outside of these hours.
Equipment:
  • 6 multimedia computers
  • All computers run on Windows 11
  • Office 2016, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Libre Office, graphical software Irfanview and GIMP, Citavi 5 and 6, MAXQDA, VLC, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird and more are installed
  • Internet is accessible via ethernet and WiFi (eduroam)
  • Two multimedia computers are equipped with Photoshop and Omnipage, and are connected to a scanner (1 flat bed scanner and 1 document scanner)
 
Support/Service

 

Borrowing of technology

Notebooks (Windows notebooks) and other technical devices (PDF-overview) can be borrowed for teaching courses and for working in the computer lab.

Please send us your request via the online-form (notice ahead: one week before intended pickup).

First-level-support for Users

The computer lab staff offers support to those who seek help with specific problems with a computer or software. They can also be contacted for problems with the setup of WiFi and HU email accounts.

On-site technical support service is possible, please contact us via email to arrange an appointment.


We are also offering support online, either via Zoom or Big Blue Button.

To register, please send a short email describing the question or problem as well as a favourable meetup time and platform to ztg-pc-pool@gender.hu-berlin.de.
