PC and Internet
Digital media are becoming more important for academic research, especially for a transdisciplinary program such as Gender Studies at the HU. Computer and internet knowledge are now a standard requirement for students. The increasing number of professors using the latest communication techniques for research and teaching shows how important this media is for our program.
Multimedia in education
The ZtG has its own multimedia team since Fall 2005. The team is made up of gender studies faculty, ZtG staff, and students employed as teaching assistants. The multimedia team meets regularly for workshops and has its own moodle-based communication platform for all things related to multimedia teaching and learning. New participants are always welcome!
The ZtG offers:
- support for those who are not that familiar with computers
- the possibility of using the latest hard- and software at the computer lab
- regular courses that teach basic knowledge about computers and word processing programs, and provide information on how to use the internet for learning and research; there are courses for beginners as well as advanced students
