Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Gender as a Category of Knowledge

Prof. Dr. Sophie Wennerscheid

PhD Project:

Desiring the Wound: Religion and Erotic in Kierkegaard’s Writings
wennerscheid

Description of the Project

In 2006, I received my doctorate with a dissertation on Søren Kierkegaard and his discussion of anxiety and desire. In this project I combined a postmodern philosophical approach with an approach from literary and gender studies. The aim of the project was to show how Kierkegaard in his writings circled around the metaphor of the wound and made it productive as a core concept of his philosophy of the non-identical subject.
